Ok.. where do I start.

I have a pretty large family and wish to setup a blog to easily share family photos with everybody etc.

I have looked into the various sites such as MSN Spaces, Flickr, PicasaWEB etc and none are perfect as in they reduce the size of images for obvious reasons. I want family members to be able to download the files they want at their full resolution and print them themselves or save them to a flash drive and take them to their own photo place.

For example, MSN Spaces "hides" the full resolution images and sends them to "SNAPFISH" for printing.. if you want to download the full resolution image, you have to PAY for it??? And Google Images hosting fees are pretty high I think.

I have my own domain and also have some hosting space, how do I go about "blogging" the photos?

I have no HTML knowledge.

Many thanks to anyone who can help and I hope I explained myself clearly.

Many Thanks.

Whats wrong with using Flickr? It allows you to view the original image? I think Picasa does too. Something like this is probably the easiest option.

As for doing it on your own hosting, well there are many many ways. From something like a stand alone gallery such as zenphoto to a full on blog in which you post pictures, the best and easiest is probably WordPress, maybe with a plugin like NextGEN Gallery. It depends if you want to say stuff as well as post pictures really!

Have a look at those options too see which you would prefer then come back and someone can offer more detailed advice as to how you would go about setting it up. :)
