A few days ago, somebody posted a quick guide to making your own photo server and some software for hosting photogrpahs.

Well, In return for some pictures I have taken, somebody has offered me some web space, so I was wondering if any body either has a link to the original post (I have searched through the first 6 pages on here and cant find it, dont think it is old enough to be beyond that) or failing that.

does any body know of some good (preferably shareware ) software that I coudl use to set up a photograph host, preferably one that people can see the pictures, but they cant right click / save

thanks

A good bit of free gallery software is gallery 2. The browser has to download the picture to display it, if you don't want someone downloading your photo then don't upload it full stop. Disabling right click will only annoy legitimate users and wont stop anyone who really wants to save your pictures.

I also use gallery 2 to host my images.

People an always save your pictures no matter what you do, if you put them up on the net, people are going to be abe to take them down.

Your best bet might just be to watermark them?
