i'm new to the overclocking game and was considering OC'ing my 4200 x2 processor.

i decided to run orthos for half hour to see what my standard temperature was, at idle both cores were between 29 and 33 deg C.

after running orthos core 1 was at between 61-63 deg C
and core 2 was around the low 50's.

why is this. am i right in thinking my cpu is one of the poorer items or is this a cooling issue.

its a mesh pc, 5 months old. intake and exhaust fan, not sure of sizes.

i was told sp2004 orthos was designed to test both cores.

core 2 seems acceptable under load and core 1 seems to be too hot.

thats what i was trying to say :)
