Apparently people have been sunbathing in their undies and, apparently, this has sparked a debate about whether it's ok to do so:

Daily Mail seeing an excuse for underwear shots:

But, to be honest I was more taken by a quote in this Guardian article:

It all depends on what type of underwear it is. If they had an Ann Summers crotchless type affair then that would be a touch odd
Yes Rian, perhaps it would be. Thanks for sharing.

Anyway, where does GD stand: sunbathing in parks in your undercrackers - is it legit?

Public park in boxers and knickers and bra? Not if kids are about, private property, no problem.

Lol...I really didn't expect a 'won't someone think of the kids' type post so soon :D

What's the problem, as long as it isn't lacey see through underwear, then it's no different to a bikini/trunks on the beach....and there's plenty of kids around then...without being corrupted :p

Honestly, the British are so prudish at times :o

Some things are just wrong and this is one of them. Just reading this thread made me feel a dirty gerty.

In your back garden, in a public park not so much. It's not the beach.

I like to sunbathe in my back garden nads swinging, in the buff. If someone has a problem with that, they can **** off :p

Are you really all so prude? I don't understand people's issue, there's almost no difference between underwear and swim wear. As long as there's no obvious skidders or 'peep holes', then there's no issue. Especially if it encourages lovely ladies to pop their tops off in the local park.

*Grabs anorak and binoculars.*

Couldn't give a monkeys. As long as nobody is helicoptering or wobbling their dirty love pillows at people I can't see any issue at all.
Obviously scant lacy clunge flashers or budgie smugglers should be burnt in a fire tho

As you say, just another excuse for the Fail to show people semi undressed.

Most ordinary bras, for example, are of denser material than bikini tops and they are acceptable. Bottoms are usually about the same density. As far as public decency goes, as long as your private parts are not on show, it is OK.

This is pretty much my thoughts on it. If it gives me chance to grab a shifty ogle of some pretty women... allow it

Can't say I've got too worries about the effect on kids. My two (age 6 and 3) wouldn't think anything of it.

Probably wouldn't do it myself, most of my undies are tragically decrepit :D, but i'm cool with others doing it.

In their underwear? How horrible! Proper sunbathing attire should be worn at all times without resorting to the disgustingness of undergarments.
