Hi Guys

About to go live, we have an excellent new range of higher performance TP-Link products.

Price points for these products are a little higher than our current TP-Link range but after some testing of a large range of samples, TP-Link have really set these products aside as being higher end offerings.

Performance, interfaces and aesthetics have all been subjected to an overhaul here.

The n600 doesn't seem to have a bad specification, would be a good replacement for the homehub3 or there's the Asus range.

Just placed an order for the N600 (TL-WDR3600) to replace the homehub, which while has been adequate I'd like a few more options, this seems to fit the bill and there's always the DD-WRT option :D

Arrived today, made a few changes to the Wifi (renamed the SIDs). Connected to BT Infinity and got my best ever benchmark.

Looking through the GUI I thought I'd check the firmware. One revision old so updated the firmware (available Here N600).

Then did another test and gained a few more Mbps.

Could be completely unrelated but my line has been solid 50Mbps before replacing the HH3.

Got some nice features for bandwidth control (doubt I'll bother with) and seeing individual bandwidth per IP.

Can;t fault it so far for £59.00 (N600). See how it fairs over time now...

Hi guys,

Anyone know if the TD-W8968 supports NO-IP accounts? Need a cheap decent ADSL router that supports this.

Aha, their firmware page says it's been added, superb

Am I missing a few things with those "gigabit" adapters? Firstly, for less than half the price I could have a pair of the same without the extra plug socket (I'd rather spend £2 on 2 3 way adaptors if I really had no other choice), and "gigabit"? 500m/bits is not gigabit.

Pass through adapters have always been expensive. In addition to the convenience of not loosing a socket, they also act as a mains filter helping to keep any electrical noise generated by the attached equipment from the mains.

They're Gigabit because they have Gigabit network ports. There are 500Mbps adapters that only have 100Mbps ports, so it matters.

I'm loving my N600. It's been rock solid for 42 days and counting. I've got iPad HD streams over wifi, a NAS and my computer with no glitching at all. Great bit of kit for the price.

Seems like a great router so far, faultless in all tests

You have the router or router/modem? We just got Virgin 100Mb with a Superhub - it's crap. I can barely get a signal in my room which really isn't that far from the living room. Thinking of getting a router (Asus N56U or TP N600 as it's cheaper) and letting the Superhub be just a modem.

Why are there rarely/never reviews of TP-Link stuff?

Im using the N600 with my VM hub setup as modem only, wireless reception has been good and have also flashed the firmware with dd-wrt, its been great so far. Only thing I have n't really worked out yet is how to get the printer to work across the network using the USB sockets.
