Hi, I'm pretty new to overclocking and I seem to have got a stable overclock but my CPU temps are hitting 90c on load, I end up quitting prime in-case it gets any higher and kills my cpu. My idle temps are 50c, the ambient temp is about 20c.

My settings are:
Ratio:20x
BCLK: 190
DDR Freq:1523
CPUVolt: 1.275v

My spec:
Rampage III extreme, I7 930, Corsair Dominator GT, DDR3 PC3-12800(1600)CAS 7-7-7-20, 850W Enermax Revolution85+, Zalman GT1000 Case, Xigmatek Thor's Hammer with two Apache Black Super Silent fans.

I was thinking about reseating my cpu cooler but as that maybe a pain in the arse I was wondering if you guys had any other ideas?

Just try taking the side panel off to see if your temps drop, if they do its your case air flow thats the problem.

Cheers for your help guys,
The only other volt I set was the CPU PLL Volt - 1.90 also tried 1.85, no difference.

I used Arctic Silver 5 and applied a thin layer rather than a small pea size drop.

No doubt about it the air flow in the Zalman GT1000 isnt great but there is little difference when I open the case up.

Just tried it on stock speeds and I'm getting 43c idle and 70c on Prime...is this normal?
