Can you suggest some ideas for work lunches? The food must be eaten hot and not contain any fruit or veg!
Also I am not interested in making in bulk as more than two days worth will go to waste also I dont want it costin the same as doing an evening meal.. Suggestions greatly aoporeciated

By Veg I assume things like a tomato based sauce is fine, just no chunks of identifiable vegetable?

So no chunks of onion or potato but leek and potato soup is good?

Also, sod small batches, buy some suitable sized tupperware and freeze a weeks worth at a time (has to be individual size tupperware as you can't split it up once frozen!).

I have a small freezer so I have limited space! :D

Would help to know what you have at work to make the food hot. Hob? Microwave? Toastie maker?

Otherwise, chicken soup in a Thermos is literally the only option. Unless you want to melt a bouillon cube in a spoon like a junkie.

erm ok microwave I think, Telescopi cooking instruments at OCUK HQ?

You have clearly not had a good experience of veg. Shame, because they produce some of the most incredible flavours, textures and colours.

I can only urge you to try. Maybe a decent veg cook book? I feel that you are missing out!
No I thimk people are getting the wrong idea if I wanted us to have veg I wouldn't bother posting a thread. I asked for suggestions not ideas to get veg into us. :)

Thank you
The OP wants no veg.

Yes I do! :)

arghh look I asked for suggestions of veg free food because that's what I want. for those sayin your cooking wrong actually I've tried many differnt ways of cooking veg and we still don't like it!!!! thanks to the people who have given me ideas :). Also yes smooth tomato sauce is fine.

No it doesn't, have you considered that you may just be a terrible cook?:p
I am not a terrible cook actually!!! don't be so rude:eek: also no matter where we have veg from or who cooks it, it makes no difference some food you just dislike. Its like the people who dont like hot drinks they always get funny looks some things are just not very nice tasting.

It's not really people being childish. You're posting in La Cuisine - where people appreciate nice food and actively encourage others to do the same. It's not shocking that you'd get this response (and you got something similar last time iirc?). I think any comments about being bad cooks are purely tongue-in-cheek also..

Yes I am aware people appreciate nice food in here we do as well, but nice food doesn't neccessarily need to contain veg, take steak and chips or roast dinners fantastic meals but taste great with or without veg. It was a mere qusetion of if anyone else finds a fiod category such as fruit and veg quite limiting in what they like. I shant bother next time /flounces Out!:p:D
