Hot summer weather and overheating

My C2D 6300 @ 2.3 is 50C after playing CSS.

is that high? normally in the winter/spring months it was 35C.

Yup, here its 26c outside.

My 6320 @ 2.4 is running 43c idle!!!!!!

Along with the CPU fan and 4 case fans.

Amazing how much difference ambient temperature makes isn't it?

4400+ X2 idling around 40C here

50c is plenty cool enough... and yea its being hot recently

e6700 at 3.3 idling at 37 here. nomrally about 33-34 in winter

My 6300 is currently idling at 53.. goes upto about 68 when playing. But if it dont crash, then its not too hot...

all C2D are good, let your budget dictate what you get. Get the best you can afford.

If you plan on overclocking, investment in a decent motherboard is a good way to start, and some good RAM too.

got a good mobo and decent memory, i bought the PentiumD 935 till i had the cash to buy something better

My Q6600 is idling at 50oC @3.2Ghz

Usually about 44-46oC
