Its time to worry about temperature again . My trusty old e6600 @3.2 is getting a bit hot . Its 27c in this room(yesterday i measured 33c and idle temps in the 50`s) and as you can see my idle temps are hot , but which monitor do i belive speed fan and real temp are 10c apart with coretemp sitting on the fence . THeses are idle temps . under orthos real temp gets into the hi 60`s within minutes and would hit the 70`s if i carried on . I`m only using 1.25 volts in bios and i have good airflow , i`m using a siverstone fortress. Oh yeh an frezer 7 pro cpu cooler aswell.

If realtemp is to be belived ,then things are too hot even in this weather  any thoughts ?????

Yeh i know , its suposed to be in the o/c and cooling  only noticed after posting ... The e6600 doesnt run as hot as new cpu,s 65c is max safe at load  and if i run orthos it heads quickly to 70 and beond(real temp) , but if i trust core temp i stay just within safe ...

3,000 RPM on CPU fan. That must be unbearably loud.

Acording to the add its 800-2200 rpm , but yeh even 2200 will be noisy . My case is quite good at soundproofing ,so we will see .. I supose if it is realy unbarable i can try 2 slow fans in push-pull setup.....

edited : Ah your talking about the fan on my cooler at the moment .DOH.
