Does anyone know of hotels in central London, close to Soho that wont break my wallet? Looking for somewhere between £20-40(max) double room per person per night. or any links to show bookings etc? cheers :)
 
Don't suppose you have any close family in the forces do you? If not I think daz is right you are going to be very lucky finding anything other than hostels for that price.
 
It's going basically going to be B&B for that sort of budget. Towards the upper end of your budge (£40 p.p = £80 per room) it looks much better, but getting somewhere in Central London will still be difficult.
 
How central do you want to be? You may prefer to be on the west side of the city.

I've just looked on Expedia and put a random night in (a Saturday in a few weeks), and a double room in ClubQuarters on Gracechurch street is £65 for a night.
 
I haven't tried it myself, but apparently Priceline is not a bad way to get reasonable quality accommodation cheaply. You essentially declare how much you're willing to spend, then they look to see whether they can match you with any suppliers who are willing to charge that price (sort of a reverse-bidding). You don't get to find out which airline or hotel until you've made the payment but often you can guess what hotels they will use, based on what other people were allocated in the past etc.

The Regent Palace Hotel is in your price range & it's location is perfect for Central London (it's smack bang next to Picadilly Circus).

It's a bit hostally, but as a base it's fine.
