Hotmail on Android

Hi all

I can't connect to the hotmail servers on the standard email app any more (Acer A500 tablet)

I've tried setting it to exchange rather than pop3, tried the debug-m.hotmail and 3 letter server address and so far no joy, unable to download or synch with my hotmail account.

Anyone else had this issue and resolved it ? Its a right royal pain and I've had no hotmail on my tablet for months now!

PITA I know but why not try the dedicated Hotmail app from the Play store?

Yeah I did try that - its a little ugly though and really designed for phones.

bad workaround - forward it to your gmail box but have a rule set up so that everything from [email protected] is tagged with a specific tag. you have to login to the website every 3 months for the forwarder to keep working iirc.

Plus, Hotmail still apply their spam filters before forwarding - they're useless at sorting this out!!
