Hotmail on Safari

Since switching to my Mac I have only ever had one problem. My hotmail email from Microsoft Messenger.

Messenger tells me I have emails (even about the ones in my other folders witch the Windows version doesn't) but when I click the 'Mail' button, the email page only opens successfully about half of the time.
I get the message

Windows Live ID is unavailable from this site for one of the following reasons:
This site may be experiencing a problem.
The site may not be a member of Windows Live ID.

Am I just being paranoid in thinking that this is MS's way of being petty?

EDIT: It opens first time every-time in Firefox...

Same here. It used to... only the past few months it has been having this problem. Very very annoying.

It doesn't open on my iPhone either.

It's like eBay, doesn't work properly on Safari.

Sometimes it's just a case of clicking in the address bar and hitting enter to reload the page. That usually works for me.

It times out a lot, have to refresh lots of times for it to work sometimes.

Works fine in FF.

Never had issues with eBay on Safari.

Saying that I won't be using it now they've upper their charges from 5 to 8%

Never had any major problems with Hotmail or eBay. Safari 3 is better - v2 had the occasional formatting issue with eBay.
