Hotmail Question

Hi all, just decided its time to sort my account out, as I have 9003 emails, most of which are spam, however I find that I can no longer have my emails sent to outlook, and I cant work out how to do a refined search, is there any way to quickly sort through your emails? I want to do things like move all from ebay, my bank etc to purchases, all from youtube to blogs folder and so on.... Thanks!

you can get it through outlook. u just require a, an older account or b, a program like 'Hotmail Popper' - which unforchantly isnt free, but it works for me very nicely. theres a trial of it if you wanted a looky.

couple of suggestions -

subscribe to their paid service
go on the hotmail website and use the custom filters in the options to sort your mail into folders.
Upgrade it to a windows live mail account and go on the webpage and use the "refined search tools" they mention in the features.

Not sure why you can't access your account using outlook , i have 2 or 3 old hotmail accounts that i still access everyday using outlook express maybe your server details are outdated , mines currently using

http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp

with username as the full email addy inc the @hotmail bit

sorry I should have phased that better, you need an old account which you have used with Outlook before. they seemed to have allowed older accounts which use outlook to do email.

Maybe its because I upgraded to the live back in beta that it happend
