First of all, yes I know hotmail is free, and its got a pretty crappy spam filter. But I use it for my MSN, and I don't like it always popping up 'You have x new messages'. I only use the email for registering on forums, not wanting to give out my main email, and for MSN.
But for the last few months, I've been getting a fair bit of spam into my inbox thats rather annoying. Of course, its all from different emails, so you can't just block the address, and they are usually from yahoo and hotmail, so I can't really block the entire domain.
However, the emails all have a subject line that is almost identcle. Something along the line of: Update "SEXUALYEXPLICIT".
And the email is just a link to a geocities site.

Is there some way to configure hotmail to either send all emails that have certain words in the subject to the junk, or to junk them if they have the word geocities in the email?
Ta.

How to Use Hotmail Filters

The free hotmail account offers two basic filters for Hotmail: 'Enhanced' and 'Exclusive'.

To set filters for incoming messages:

1. Sign in to Hotmail and click 'Options' to the right of the 'Contacts' tab. .
2. Under the header 'Mail Handling', click the 'Junk Filter' link.
3. Read through the options and set to either 'Enhanced' or 'Exclusive'.

Important
When your filters are in place, it is important to monitor your junk mail box every seven days to ensure that no legitimate mails have been filtered there by mistake. If they have been, open the Junk mail folder, check the box next to the legitimate e-mail and then simply click on the 'This is not junk' link.

About the Exclusive Filter Setting
As the name suggests, the exclusive filter setting offers a high level of junk mail protection. Only e-mail from either your Contacts or a specially created Safe List will be delivered to your Hotmail inbox. To ensure that you always receive the e-mail you want, either add users to your Contacts or create a Safe List when using this setting.

i think i did what is set above so anything goign in my inbox has to be from ppl on my allow list

I've got the exclusive one checked and some still gets through!
Also I think someone has hacked my account because I've gotten a email returned saying invalid addresss for a message I didn't send (it was a spam, the viagra one).
