Hotpoint Fridge Freezer not cooling

Hi everyone. I have a Hotpoint Fridge Freezer FF7190AEX.

Basically, the freezer section isn't cooling so no cold air is going from the freezer to the fridge. The fan is still working. I have had the appliance switched off whilst I went on holiday, in case it needed defrosting. Upon my return, still no change. After an hour or two, the lights flash and it beeps continuously.

There's no visible sign of any ice build-up in the freezer - although I do remember this did build up in the past (when I had a lot of food in the freezer).

What can I check? Replace?

Manual says to turn freezer operation knob off then cycle power.

After doing that does it work?

do you mean ity never gets cold at all ?

I guess you got accesss to the back and cleaned dust etc from outside condensor coils
On a zanussi I had the timer (replaceable module) that schedules daily auto-defrost fail and this meant frost built up and fridege thought it was colder than it was.

I'm not sure how serviceable fridge freezers are nowadays. May just be cheaper to pay the 300 odd to replace

Hi JPaul. It's not getting cold, no.

There doesn't look like there's much dust on the condenser coils (unless I'm looking at the wrong thing). Everything looks ok at the back of the fridge freezer.

Any other suggestions?

Not keen on spending on a new fridge - this one is only 5-6 years old.
