Hotter than normal cpu... Huh?

My CPU Used to be at 37 degrees idle.. forward on a month.. 47.

Cleaned the dust earlier also thoroughly.

Why has it risen so much? Might it be worth re-seating my cpu cooler with some new paste? or worth buying a new cooler (its bit loud tbh..) Artic 7 Freezer pro rev 2

try some new paste 1st and see what happens, it does sound like the hsf has been knocked and not sitting flush, maybe when you cleaned it.

Have you checked the intake fans for dust and cables blocking airflow?

If it's a retail HS then an Artic 7 would be a worthwhile investment - but be aware that it may point upwards rather than venting out the back due to the AMD bracket.

If you already have a semi-decent 3rd party cooler then a reseat, as advised above, is always advisible if there aren't any obvious external causes.

my post made no sense I was tired. I have the freezer on now but it might of come loose as mentioned.
