Houdini - Channel 4

Good isn't it. :D Part 2 next sunday at 9pm. Obviously they've mixed fact and fiction to make it more exciting, but I'm really enjoying it. Illusions and victorian settings remind me of bits of the prestige.

I'm surprised how they gave most of his tricks away.
As a part time magician of little ability, I don't generally appreciate it when the secrets behind illusions are given away but I think that it was handled very well. Whether they were accurate methods, I don't know but they seemed like good explanations.

Houdini did write a book aimed at the magic community in the early 1900s where he gave away a fair few of his secrets so it's not exactly new stuff to be revealing things now.

I enjoyed the drama and am looking forward to the second part. From the little hints we've had so far, I reckon they'll handle the cause of death fairly accurately.

I've already seen the second part and that death story was a little bit different to what I thought happened.

Managed to finish watching it last night, really enjoyed it. Brody done a good job at playing Houdini himself, really liked the slickness and x-ray scenes in it aswell. Always been interested in Houdini, so watching this really gave me a good insight into the life of The Great Houdini.

Me too, I thought it would be
from not escaping the water tank

Very good final part tonight, brought tears to my eyes in a couple of places.
