Hey guys, so as a intro when i started working where i am a couple of months ago ( i know it's not a long time at all ) and i was turning up for work at around 7:15 and was supposed to be starting at 8:00 one of the managers allowed me to take on flexible hours between 7-8 and said when i get in i can start due to my commute situation ( it takes me 1 hour 30 mins walk to get home from work )

I need to get home at the time i am to take care of various things IE picking my niece up from school, however today the other manage came up to me out of no where and told me i wasn't allowed to do it anymore and if i started at 7:05 i have to start at 7:30 now this puts me in a predicament as i can't get home in time to sort stuff out if i start at 7:30, and if i want to get in before 7 i need to walk to work as well instead of getting a lift. So that would mean getting up 4:30 and setting of walking at 5:15 to get to work on time. I don't have the energy to do that.

When i asked her about the whole thing she said it was because the woman who does the wages at the agency didn't like the "complicated hours" HOWEVER on the day das told me i was welcome to do flexible hours i contacted the agency and spoke to the woman who does the wages to ensure she would have no problems with doing the wages like that and she was happy as larry to do so.

today i took it on the head and stayed until 4:30 instead of 4:10 despite the lack of notice. I did this so she can't say ive gone behind her back against her orders or such but i will be talking to the manager who first told me i could do flexi hours tomorrow about the situation.

Anything you chaps would recommend i do?

Sorry for the ramble/rant.

Bus times don't align, spoke to das today and the other manager has absolutely no jurisdiction about hours and was not allowed to tell me to change them. I have a bike but I'd rather get a lift to work and walk home.

Also lafemmefatale SHHH you!

The bad one couldn't tell me to change them. In fact when i told him she had told me to do hours contradictory to the ones he gave me he essentially said.. she ******* what no carry on doing the hours i told you to do with a few more swearies inbetween.

Lol. Good lad! Stick with what he says though try and get it in writing.

He has sent off for a contract apraisal for me as he want's me on a perm contract with the company and off the agency have been with the company for a only a couple of months and there are a few lads there who have been on agency for over 6 years and tried to get off again and again with no luck so must have done something right, Will discus my contract and hours with him when the contract is put in ink.
