house designing/building games and software

after palying sims 2 a lot to build and design houses, my gf is bored with sims and want another that she can do this. I've been looking around and can't seem to find any other games that allow for house designing and building so im turning to you guys for help

do you know of any games that do this other then sims 2?

i have looked at software and found a few such as showhome 3d interior design, but these don't look to offer quite what shes after

Sry for the larger than normal pics. Oh and i just thought since she liked sims type games these might be kinda what she might wana try next. Tho duno how much house designing there is but there virtual life sims i think like sims 2.

If she's only interested in doing it casually then tbh there probably isn't much better than the sims. I imagine anything more advanced will be getting too complicated, and really there's a lot you can do with the sims. Especially considering there's a lot of extra items you can download.

I suppose maybe one possibility is Second Life, but that requires a monthly subscription I think.

Only one that brings to mind is Sim Tower, and that's well old (win95 stylee).
