House hunting a while - Hope this is the one

Looks nice inside. I can see what you mean about the hill from the back garden though!

It's a shame that there's no floorplan. Usually estate agents are pretty good at putting them up on Right Move and Zoopla these days.

£185,000 seems very cheap but, living in London, my view on house prices is very warped. :p

That looks quite high spec too.

Location is key, I opted for a smaller house in a better location when I purchased mine.

A house like that would really tempt me.

Hope you get it.

Looks nice.

However, if you aren't 100% then don't let the fact you've been looking for six months influence your decision to buy. We looked for 18 months before we found our current house and I'm glad we did. We had offers rejected on two other properties and looking back I'm so pleased that happened.

Looks really nice, wish i could've got something like that around here.

Looks a bit all over the place but i think stipped down and viewing it in person it'll look better.

It looks very strangely laid out :/

Seems to be one that either really suits you or really doesn't. I've got a toddler so with no garden and those really steep stairs it'd be a no-no.

That looks like a lovely house. Hope it meets with your approval when you go view. All the best.

yes and?

im not going to view something that isnt right

You'd be surprised how many houses that don't "look right" online but pleasantly surprise you in real life.

Even if they aren't the right houses, you will ALWAYS learn something. You may learn about things that you don't want in a house (that you didn't realise before you started looking) and will bear them in mind in the search for the perfect house.

I'd highly recommend you go and view as many as you can, or you may be waiting for many more months yet.

This is good advice, learn from other properties, even a feature here or there that you might eventually use within your own home.

Yes, exactly.

When I bought my first house I saw a house that was identical in layout to the one I wanted to buy. You get loads of ideas/inspiration from what owners of similar houses have done with their space. It certainly isn't a waste of time.

Most importantly, seeing "unsuitable" properties opened my eyes to more things that I wouldn't have wanted in a house, things that I did not even think about before starting to look for a house. So you tend to watch out for these things when viewing others. It was invaluable, really.

Buying a house is a big decision, so you want to be sure that you've explored every single avenue before forking out thousands of pounds.

Don't be in a hurry to buy! You seem to be half way there without even viewing...

Do you need 4 bedrooms? If no, what are the local schools like.

Area > Space.

Good luck!

Looking at that I'd say,

No kerb appeal
No suitable for families with that back garden
No potential to extend looks like it's all been done
All that decking and timber out back will need lots of maintenance, lots
I'd want to see engineers calcs, looks like a lot of lintols going on
Two busy and noisy roads near by?
It's essentially 'done' so if you don't fancy DIY or messing you can just enjoy
Probably good VFM as I expect like ours the price is pushed under the detached houses where people think, well £185k buys me a detached why should I buy a semi
Good transport links
