It's on sale at the moment and I was wondering if anyone has any comment on how it plays without a PS move? Probably spent over £100 in the past on this in the arcades, but to get a good playable version in my living room for £3!?
It works pretty well, or at least I thought it felt a little more accurate. I'm generally terrible at shooters but I wiped the floor with the friend I co-op'd it with while I was using the controller and he used the gun (he could very well just be worse than me so it might not be that clear an indication). When I saw Amazon selling Overkill cheap (it was like £4 with next day delivery and a pair of 3D glasses) I had to get it, but didn't want to get the Move at the time because it was so expensive. But when Amazon dropped that Wonderbook bundle to like £25 (I only wanted the Move and Camera, honest ) I couldn't help but jump on it and get one of the lightgun cases. My accuracy isn't as good with the Move, but it feels a lot more like what it was to play the originals in the arcade (which is all I wanted)!
What Nimdok said. The game reminds me a ton of Guitar Hero for the simple fact that using a pad is so much easier than the peripheral that the games designed to use. Pad is actually overpowered, you just keep the reticule at head level and just spray sideways. All you see is PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT pop up.
If you don't have a move, you can still enjoy this a ton, very worth it both by itself and in the £7 bundle.
Kinda sucked when I smacked myself in the face with the pad doing one of those 'shake to get free' minigames though. :'(
