House Water Pumps

We would like an unvented cylinder but I am afraid the cold feed is not 22mm so looking to replace existing tank with a std tank and install a whole house pump as the hot water pressure is poor.

Anyone have any experience of these pumps and if so are they reasonably quiet?

Thanks

I bought a Salamander 3 Bar shower pump to power the extension we built (1 shower, 2 sinks, 1 bath, 2 toilets and a utility room) as a stopgap for when we install an un-vented cylinder. It doesn't matter about the pressure or size of the inlet, what's important is the flow of litres per minute. The pump works well but is a little noisy.

Can I ask where you put the pump and what sort of surface its on?

This !!!!!!

We have a pump fitted but only need it for showers so just switch it on for that. First one died after 6 or 7 years, but the identical replacement was fitted by a much more competent plumber. We didn't realise that the first was wrongly fitted until the second guy showed us all the rubber stand offs after we asked whether it was running ok. The difference in noise level was night and day.

Interesting as our exiting shower pump makes a hell of racket as well.

We fitted a shower pump, does two showers with no issues, fitted on a shelf in the boiler room. You can't hear the pump over the sound of the shower water despite it being on the adjoining wall.

Wow looks like a hefty bit of kit, is it a whole house pump and what type is it?
