My housemate has a belkin wireless dongle and it always drops his internet connection. I was using a Netgear WNA3100 dongle and it worked fine, however I have now upgraded to homeplugs
I uninstalled the Belkin and installed the WNA3100 using the same drivers i was using (WNA3100_v1.1.2.16_Setup.exe)
It installs fine and picks up our sky connection at 81% signal in his room. I then try and connect and it asks for the key, input the key and it goes to connect then fails. I know the keys is right because I have recently added it to the sky connection on my phone
Is there some other setting in registry or elsewhere that remmebers any of the old dongle info or conflicts ips or anything?
Both machines are W7 64bit
more info on router setup
mode - 54G Auto
security options - WPA-PSK (wi-fi protected access pre-shared key)
WPA-PSK Security Encryption
Network Key (8 ~ 63 characters) - *our password*
