Houseshare & Flatmate search sites

I'm looking to move to Windsor at the end of May but for my budget most 1 bed places are holes. I'm looking to move into a house/flat share as I'll get a much nicer place and I'll save an absolute fortune on rent and bills. I've found a couple of sites which deal with sharing but can anyone recommend any? Ideally I'd like to get somewhere sorted before I hand my notice in for my current place next week but its hard to secure a place, especially a share, 60 days in advance.

If you've any experience with these particular sites let me know how you got on.

I used http://www.spareroom.co.uk/ when I was house/flat sharing. I went through that site about 3 or 4 times.

I can't guarantee it's usefulness for Windsor though.

As an IT Contractor I've used Easyroommate.com to find somewhere to live - although I suspect I was lucky....the last contract I had, I went to view the first place I found advertised via Easyroommate, it turned out to be 5 minutes from the office, perfect room and perfect landlady.

Have a look at Gumtree and Craigslist. Haven't used them myself, but I've heard others have had success with them
