Hover mouse over a file info

Got a wierd issue...

I have this excel file, if the file is on my local machine and I hover my mouse over it, I'll get a little popup with Author, Size, Last Modified, Type etc etc

Now, if I put the same file on a network share and hover the mouse over it I now only get Type and Size

can anyone shed some light on this?

Doesn't matter what type of file it is either

i can't say i've ever used hover tips that much

maybe this is a default setting for network shares, to lower cpu usage when people are browsing network files.. ?
