I'v entered most of my details, just wanted one last confirmation that I'm making the right decision.

I'm migrating from Plusnet as 15GB PM is just absolute tosh.

I can only get 1mb max, but after another test I can go upto 3.5mb supposedly.

All I want is good reliable service that aren't as strict as Plusnet.

Thanks.

if you use p2p then no. all users regardless of package/download behaviour are being throttled to 20kb/s at ALL times.

suffice to say i'm jumping ship.... :p

I download quite a lot frequently. Would Nildram be the better option?

yup they look good. 50gb peak (8am -midnight), unlimited off peak. free migration and 1 month contract. you can't really go wrong.... :)

i'm on xtreme5 too. it's only a matter of time before everyone is affected. plenty of grumbling about it over at adslguide.... :D

Thanks guys,

This MAX adsl, such as 3.5mb are these just trial and not actually achievable? As i'm not sure which service would be better.

On Nildram there's Broadband 2 for £26 p/m upto 8mb or DSL, which is the same but capped to 2mb speeds at £23. Bearing in mind that i'm currently on 1mb.

Thanks.

It would, but remember that Pipex own nildram so you never know what might happen in the future.

Yeah, it is really difficult at the moment as most ISP's have caps/throttle/port blocking measures in place due to their overloading networks which they can barely support. What about the LLU option? Are you in an area where easynet(there for UKo), Bulldog or BE operate? You could always go for one of their packages..But at the moment i guess nildram is a pretty safe bet.

I don't think so...I think during your line enabling process they would determine if your line was capable of 2MB and then they would just tell you that your sign up failed and you could only get 1mb. Best thing to do is go 1MB then 8MB MAX DSL. But as you said...finding a good ISP is really hard the the moment..
