Hi there,

I shall be after a new Laptop very soon, I want something much quicker than the Acer TravelMate Ive got now with a mobile celery :p

Im not after anything with fancy graphics, thats why I bought a PS3. Also, not really fussed about the colour of it nor little extra's like built it webcams and other little pointless things I would'nt use.

My main needs are something thats very quick. C2D of course, the quicker the better within reason on price. Decent amount of ram, 2GB atleast. HD space around 160GB-ish. 15.4", 1440x900.

Here is what I came up with....

That ends up @ £650inc VAT and Shipping. The Dell £50 offer ends 16th Jan, I will be ordering after that so the total will be around £700.

Im looking at spending around £700 so is this pretty much the best I could get?

I would love a Rock laptop but the budget cant be streched that much more :(

Thanks

That's a Dell Vostro 1500 right?

That is super cheap. No problem with the Vista change. There wouldnt be huge difference anyway.

The ram isnt a problem either. Dell have a special upgrade offer on till the end of Jan.

The only thing is the screen.

Where did you get that code from?

Really sorry, i didn't notice the screen was a different res.

I got the code from a popular UK deals website, obviously i cannot link you directly. If you wish to configure the system above go to the euro Dell site and enter the code into the search bar.

They charge £41 extra to change to 1440x900
