I just put the following into a PSU calculator:

4400 @2.75Ghz 1.65v (209W)
DFI-Expert
1 stick of Corsair RAM
6800GS

In total that comes to 541W at 100% load thats without hardrives and extras put in.

Im using a 600W Seasonic.

Are these calculators accurate or am I "hurting" my PSU?

If so ill have to clock down because silence is golden. ;)

I think I read on an earlier post that you should take 30% of that calculation off.

So, 541/100 = 5.41
5.41*30 = 162.3

541-162 = 379W apparently, but that seems way too low. Your 600W will be fine for a long while.

*edit* - What case have you got that PSU in? I'm interested because that's the PSU i'm looking to get for an Antec P180.

Thank you. It was just that it was getting rather hot on the touch. Ill plug in the fan sensor the see if it spins up or not.

Im using the akasa eclipse. This PSU is very very good perfectly silent and I mean that. 720 rmp on the fan standard.

*edit*

Im using the extreme outervision calculator.
