Hi :)

Just realised there is a screen calibration thing in personalise on Windows 7,
As I've been using my 42" LG HDTV as my display for the computer, I've always wondered if its setup correctly as I do a lot of photo processing on it and obviously a badly configured tv can **** all ya pictures up lol

Has anyone every used it? or compared it to any third party screen config software?

I only ask as after I went though the stages, if its correct my TV was waaaaay out lol

cheers

i used the windows 7 colour management tool for a while, until i got a spyder2. it wasnt a million miles off, but you could see the difference. use it if you have nothing else.
it was especially evident in print. my prints were nothing like what i had onscreen when calibrated with win7 tool. theres a lot of other factors that come into that though.

I just looked ay spyder 2 lol
its weird how its took me through it though, completely different to how I thought it should be setup, gamma low, contrast full and brightness a lot higher than I would have thought, although everything does look quite abit better for it? wierd lol

I dont trust the gamma...
changed it abit as I watched some HD stuff and the black level is way too high,
Think its about right now though lol
