A guy on the PlusNet forum just made this statement and i really dont know what to think, to me sounds like a load of tosh to try and shut their customers up. Obviously staff pay etc comes into question, but considering the profit they make im very suspicious about this statement.

At £14.99 really customers are only 'buying' about 2GB of bandwidth per month!

True or false?

By the time you lose £8.50 for the port, you're only left with £6.49 - so the most you're going to get is about 6GB (~70p-£1 per GB on a Central at about full load).
Without knowing their calculations for transit, staff etc, that's about as accurate as you're likely to get.
