How are my temps for my OC

A bit high for my liking but still safe, just..

I try and keep my temps below 65C or 70C Max, though 75C is still safe. If you see 80C, it's not a good sign.

Try 4.2 at the same stock volts, doubt you'd see much of a difference in temps, if you do (my bad) turn it back down :)

Most of the AIO are problems waiting to happen.

KISS Keep It Simple Silly (not silly)

Air coolers are cheaper, quieter, less moving parts, less potential problems and will last longer than you will probably use them. AIO's on the other hand....

Wait a minute, that's not true.

Yes air coolers are simpler so will work better but water coolers aren't as problematic as your making out.

Firstly they will never leak or split..

They can be silent (though some, not many, suffer from noisey pumps)

They take up very little space..

Overall provide better cooling performance than air coolers.

Though they are more expensive in the first place...

Air coolers are better value for money, IMO. If you don't buy that K2 someone will (in the next2-3 hours). :)

Simple is better.

Google "h80 problems" or "h100 problems" or "h80i problems" or any others and count the number of reported problems.

Now do the same for any of the major air coolers like "nh-d14 problems" or "TC14PE problems" or "Silver Arrow SB-E problems" or "Alpenfohn K2 problems" and you will be hard pressed to find any.

As for providing better cooler performance they do not. Yes you can find some reviews that will show the top CLC's outperforming to air coolers but if it's more than 2c they are fudging the scores... usually by having much higher rpm / noisier fans for the performance increase. Put the same fans on the air cooler and they often jump way ahead of the CLC's.

Thats an incredibly good price on that k2. Though it would be worth contacting the shop to check if anything is missing from the contents.

Won't hurt to check with them but **B-Grade** is
Big reductions on fully functioning, working items supplied with a full 90 day warranty... Our 'B' graded stock may have missing accessories and do not include any game vouchers...
So should be complete with complete mounting kit, fans, fan clips bu may be missing fan speed adapter, TIM, manual or similar.

I've bought several coolers this way now and have had no problems. Had to clean TIM off before..., had to download a manual once.

If it's only the manual that was missing, this isnt a big problem. The manual supplied with it is rubbish anyway tbh. Thankfully though, it's a pretty easy cooler to fit. The worst part is the fan clips, can be a bit fiddly if theres not much room in the case.

Whenever I'm installing a cooler I haven't done before I do a trial run on the bench... assemble the mounting kit to see how it goes together before it goes on mobo to be sure all screws/nuts work properly, mount the fans to figure out how clips work etc. Than when mount is on mobo I trail mount the cooler before removing the plastic to be sure I know exactly how to set and hold cooler while I start the mounting screws/nuts and check that fans fit with cables where I want them and clip on like I want. Only then is it time to clean and apply TIM and do it for real. Saves a lot of headaches. :D

With the k2, once youve identified the required socket post hole, it's very straight forward. With the little rubber clip, (or sock as i call it) in place, the rest of the installation is a breeze. The "sock" prevents anything from falling off the back of the bracket while you install the other parts to the cpu socket area. Truly a very nice little idea.
