Currently have a Silverstone Strider Evolution Gold 850w fully modular in my system powering everything in my sig but I was wondering.

Generally how good are these as PSU's ?

I got this for free from a friend that won it at a LAN competition and he already had one so it saved me from buying one but to be honest I don't really know much about Silverstone apart from their Raven cases.

I found out they have a few OEM's..

The strider series seems to be made by enhance.

I found this:

Silverstone have some excellent PSU's, and some average ones. The units built by Etatis and Impervio are excellent, the Enhance built models range from very good to excellent, the Seventeam units range average to very good, the cheaper FSP models are mainly budget-midrange units.

Take a look here for more: http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/psu_manufacturers

Cool thanks very much :)

Good to know the OEM of the strider series "Enhance" has been going since 1986 and specialize in server grade power supplies.
