How badly will I get busted?

yeah because taking toiletries abroad is illegal right ?

worst "its funny cos it looks like white powder thread ever. "

Ahh yes, this. So suitcases just get chucked in the hold :)

They will get scanned too AFAIK, but its not going to set off anything as far as detectors etc.. are concerned and if someone did eyeball it then I reckon it would at least look less dodgy as there is more stuff in general around it and you'd presumably just chuck it in with other toiletries etc... in it's proper box.

Hand luggage you've got less stuff and there doesn't seem to be any reason for an individual to want a bag of powder on his person in-flight thus it is instantly more suspicious looking than they typical books, bags of sweets etc..etc...

Tbh.. its just bath salt so you'll have no real problems either way I'd have thought - though for the small chance you might have to stop for a few minutes etc.. just chuck it in the hold luggage.

LOL! I was on a field trip to spain in uni, and had to bring soil samples back in the hand luggage, some of them were white.... man that was hard to explain!

Soil samples generally require permits etc. anyway. Because apparently they can damage the natural soil or some rubbish like that if they were released back home.

We had a vaguely similar situation with a guy coming to do our boiler. On top of the tumble drier by the boiler, my housemate had a big unmarked bag of whey protein mix, some nonsense to do with his exercise regime.

From the guys perspective however, he'd come to a house, walked into the kitchen and there on the side is this giant bag of fine white powder, that clearly isn't sugar. He kept giving it very suspicious looks all the while he was repairing the boiler. :D

I've taken sugar in little plastic bags through airport bag checks before - they just asked me what they were and then waved me through.

Given that the last time I went to Prague the officers at the scanner accused me very bluntly of trying to conceal a knife in my hand luggage when it was actually a hairbrush, I'd say that glove is going to be needed!

I doubt there is anyone trying to smuggle hard drugs OUT of the UK and INTO Prague. If you have the package when you are coming back you might we be in for an unscheduled prostate exam though (or more likely a short delay while they find a dog to sniff it).

I have a friend in the airport border control police over here, I'll ask her for a video to post up on here and remind her colleagues to stock up on lube :p
