You hear this phrase thrown around a lot these days, and it got me thinking:
What are my Beloved IPs and how much have I spent on them over the years?
Here is my top 5, the kinda crap I bought related to them
with some vague pricing.
1) The Office (both versions)
-bought the DVDs of the UK version
-probably 50% of the reason I pay Netflix 17.99 each month (To watch the USA version on loop)
-own 65 or so of the 75ish released Funko Pop dolls for the US show. On average about 20 euros per doll!
-own(ed) multiple "funny" t-shirts
-Lego set
2) Star Wars
-seen all the films at the cinema, usually at midnight. 15-20 cinema visits
-owned all the DVDs and all BluRays of the main 9 films.
-probably 33% of the reason I pay D+ 120 a year
-own at least 10 t-shirts
-Lego Falcon, X-wing, BB8 & Advent Calendar
-baby yoda plush and a metal stormtrooper figurine
-about 10 videogames over the years
3)Marvel
-seen all the films at the cinema, usually at midnight. MCU, Sony, X-men, all other Fox crap! I'm gonna guess around 50 cinema visits.
-probably 50% of the reason I pay D+ 120 a year
-about 10 videogames over the years
4) Harry Potter
-seen all the films at the cinema. 15iish cinema trips
-owned all the books, multiple copies
-owned all the DVDS and BluRays, including "collectors" editions
-2-3 videogames
5)Superman
-seen all the films at the cinema 15ish cinema trips
-owned DVDs of all films prior to Snyderverse. owned boxset of Smallville.
-3 t-shirts
Surprisingly, my favourite show of all time, The Office US, I don't think i've ever posted about on these forums! I would happily trade all the physical crap I have from 2) - 5) for the 15 or so Funko's im missing to complete my Office USA set!
