How best to apply thermal paste to conroes?

With my old (old lol) X2 3800 and other amd 64 cpus, I would just put a blob in the middle of the heatspreader and apply the heatsink. Will this method be ok for conroe?

I hate having to faff on and spread it evenly across the cpu, its quite sticky stuff A.S. silver I use.

Dosent work with AS 5 though, its too thick, a bit like me.

Always works for me,be a bit more forcefull ya big wuss lol

.Failing that use a old Credit Card and then use the bag technique to finish it off.
