How best to setup individual games to take advantage of SLI?

Sorry to have to ask such basic questions, but I've got my 2 GTX 670s working in SLI, but I was wondering how to make sure that I am getting the most benefit from them in games.

For example, I've just started playing assassin's creed 3 and is as simple as going in to the control panel, looking in the program specific settings for the assassin's creed 3 exe file and ensuring that the SLI performance mode is set to nvidia recommended?

Does this then take advantage of specific sli profiles for the game? (e.g. I see from the release notes of the latest driver that there is a specific profile for the forthcoming Batman game)

Many thanks

Beyond enabling SLI mode in the nVidia control panel (not per application) you shouldn't need to do anything in most cases. The drive will normally automatically detect when an application starts you only need to do anything per application if theres a problem or you want to use non-standard settings.

Because it's new for you I would enable the SLi visual indicator (in 3D settings) on top next to HELP.
just to see the ussage of both cards which is a bit of fun ;) also if your running a quad core intel have a look in my thread there is a link about CPU core parking, I followed the YouTube link and disabled core parking and this mad a big difference in how BF3 played.

Ans in Nvidia control panel I always turn on Max performance and Max refresh for monitor

You have to turn on max performance, that's how your enable SLI.

SLI does everything for you mate. Enable SLI and off you go.
