How big a hard drive do I need for my 360?

I picked up a 360 arcade the other day, and have since bought a 20gb drive for it on the bay, but I'm a bit worried I should have gone for a bigger drive. What do you reckon? I'll not be putting music or whatever on it, but I might want some dlc, xbla games, old xbox games, etc. How quickly do these things fill up? I've got forza 3 so disc 2 of that will eat 3gb straight out.

Cheers.

Hate to break it to you, my elite with 120gb turned up monday and install forza 3 takes up 10gb alone...

might have been better buying an elite :(

Not planning to install it in full, just the content on disc 2, which it says only takes 3gb... Happy to run the game from the drive, not arsed about loading times.

If you're not going to be installing your games to the hard drive (which is a fantastic thing to do as it eliminates drive noise/wear and tear etc.) then you'll be fine with 20gb.

However I'd always recommend getting as big hard drive as possible.

I have a 60gb hard drive and have 3 or 4 games installed all the time. Still have a few gigs left for demos which I hardly bother with and dlc which I usually delete off the drive when Im finished (can always redownload it).

20 gb is basically 1 or 2 games max
60gb is 3 or 4 games
120gb - Id guess 7 or 8...

If you dont install games then I think 20gb is fine as mentioned.

The MOST annoying thing I find with the Xbox hard drives is the fact that you lose a certain amount for the Xbox backwards Compatibility Software. I wish there was an option to remove this as I have only ever played an Xbox game once, and that was Halo 2 for all of 3 minutes.

Should point out that Forza really benefits from being installed. Loading the tracks and cars menus is instant when installed.

Well, I'll install that in preference to batman, being as that doesn't really have box major delays in loading and seems pretty smart at loading content dynamically. Not got anything else on the go just yet!
