Hi, I'm currently looking at building an AMD Trinity based HTPC (assuming they actually release some mini-itx boards soon anyway) but I'm not sure at all how big a psu I'll need.
It's going to be an HTPC for playing blu-rays so will have a blu-ray drive in but will be using the graphics of the Trinity chip, probably a 5800K or a 5700, so no discrete gfx card. Hard drive will be a cheap SSD along with probably 8Gb ram.
I see quite a few mini-itx cases come with small psu's (between 80 - 200 watts), will these be enough for my system or will need something bigger?

Many Thanks,

Ross

the tdp for trinity is 100w iirc, so anything >200w should be fine. 300+ w if you want to be extra fine though ;p

Hehe thanks Tamzzy, normally I'd go for extra fine but cost contraints might bring me back to just fine this time. I want to make sure I get enough to avoid any problems though.
