How big is the L4D Download from Steam if you already have HL2 etc installed?

install size if 5gb, download size is compressed to more like 2-3

L4d uses a new version of the source engine as it is, i dont even think is uses files from team fortress 2. So it's the whole hog to download of about 2.5gig as has been said.
