I was going to nip down and buy a mouse. But as much as it would be nice to get today, it suddenly occurred to me that it might be heaving because of the sales - and I'm not a happy queuer!

If anyone has been today and can give an idea, it'll help me decide whether to order online and wait a couple of days instead. :)

If you put this into your phone under the "phone" app, you'll speak to someone using your actual voice.

I know a lot of people struggle to comprehend this, please feel free to trust me if you have any issues.

If you've got nothing useful to say, you could just say nothing.

I don't see the problem with posting this on the off chance that someone might have been there, and be kind enough to report back. It's doing no harm.

Except what he said was entirely useful and practical so he said it. As stated in your op and your follow up you are clearly an impatient person.

Edit: just go to the store im sure they arent heaving like a big department store considering they are primarily and e-tailer

He's not a happy queuer, he probably afraid of having to queue on the phone

What would be an acceptable wait time for you to complete a transaction. Presumably longer than the time you have spent in this thread?

Well it's been about 30 seconds so far...

You guys sure know how to make a big deal out of a simple question posed on the off chance that someone might know. Life must be stressful.

Lol.

I'd never imagine OCuk being heaving unless it was one of their events or they were doing 40% off in-store orders only.

It's a computer shop.

It was busy at lunch. Waiting time was about 15 to 20 mins depending on what you ordered. I keep saying this but I wish there was a coffee machine.

I waited for 3 hours but they kept telling me they don't sell Pasta Makers, i'm furious and have reported them to Watchdog
