How can anyone drink Root Beer?

I used to drink Rootbeer when it was sold in MCd's, as others have said here, when they stopped so did I for a fair while. It is an acquired taste I must admit.
I don't go looking for said drink in the supermarkets or shops or online, If its on a drinks menu when I'm out for a meal somewhere I'll order some, last time was on a trip back from north yorkshire in a roadside USA themed restaurant on the A1, called OK diner.
 
Like many on this thread I got into Root Beer thanks to McD's in the 90's.I still love the stuff, I often get given a crate for Christmas to enjoy by my gf.
It does taste like the smell of Germolene though, so I assume Germolene is also delicious.
 
My ex loves it, she used to always have A&W root beer in the fridge. But then she is of the colonies. Personally I hate the stuff, give me a Dandelion & Burdock any day.
 
I used to buy Bundaberg Root Beer a lot but the sugar laws changed and their formula seemed to be affected and I didn't like it after. Maybe some Ginger Beer as well.
