How can I add hotmail exchange email to Mail?

So all my devices are in sync for my hotmail accounts I want to set them up with the exchange protocol rather than POP3. I can do this fine on my iPhone/ipad but when I try to do this within Mac Mail it defaults to a POP3 account as soon as it sees the *.hotmail.com address.

Is there a manual way to add an exchange account?

Ignore, typically as soon as I post a question I work it out. Account needed to be added via the Settings\Email account route rather than doing it directly from the email client.

Was working okay last night but seem to be having some issues now.

Not had a chance to revisit it yet and sort it out but how come only for mobile devices?
