How can I check if my BB has a static IP?

Im with O2 home BB and need to know if my IP is static or not. I certainly doesnt change very often but is there a way other than speaking to O2 to establish if I have a fixed IP address or not?

Which package?

'The Works' comes with a static IP. http://www.o2.co.uk/broadband

I can't remember off hand but Im paying £8.50 per month so would assume I don't looking at those packages!

Im looking to sync 2 NAS drives between the office and home. The office has a fixed IP but is there a way to do it with a dynamic address at home? I remember seeing some utility that automatically updates when the IP changes but can't find it from a quick search.

Yes, you can use a dynamic DNS service.

The O2 router should support a couple of DNS services.

If you wanted to create a connection between the two sites then only one end needs to have a static IP. You just need to configure things so the site with the dynamic IP always 'dials-in'.
