how can I check whether there is another wireless router on my channel?

Theres a handy wireelss scanner on that, otherwise just download a random one, only ever used the one on my phone so dont know any names sorry

Have a look at inSSIDer, it can show lots of infomation about your WLAN and surrounding networks:

I used to use this, but it's a little old and not updated anymore.
Another +1 for InSSIDer.

Well there aren't any other networks on the same channel as me.....could it be my bluetooth mouse that is interfering?
