How can I connect my PC to Internet

So the problem is I have fibre optic 100mb with Virgin I have my superhub and my TiVo in my living room but next door I'm setting up my computer in my study, I have a phone socket in the study but don't know if it's any use? And would like my computer to be set up in a wired connection as I do game, can anyone suggest what I can do

move router into the study, or use a homeplug ?

How gd are home plugs as in time delay from router to them?

Latency is next to nothing on them.

So all I do is plug a homeplug in the wall use an Ethernet cable to my computer into the home plug and how to I make the homeplug connect to my superhub can I do that through the computer im guessing

With most you just sync them by pressing a little button on each of them.

You plug the other homeplug into the router via the Ethernet port on the bottom of the homeplug.

They should already be setup to talk to each out of the box but it advise to re-sync them to a new password. This is done via a button on the bottom of each one.

This is to do with encryption on the homeplugs them selves, you can just plug them into a wall socket (don't need to connect to anything via Ethernet) and hold down the bottom on each one - the manual will show what to do.

I've had a couple of TPLink sets (200Mb) and the latency to the router was around 3ms.

If its in the next room then this will be very easy and can be finished very cleanly. Powerlines are OK but they really aren't anything to write home about, lots of stories of plugs dropping connection between them and seriously restricting speeds.
