How can i disable windows 8 welcome / lock screen?

Hi, i am using win 8 pro, i really dont want to have to put a password in each time i start my laptop, is there a way to stop the welcome / lock screen?

I did mine from the PC settings option at the bottom of the Charms bar.

Go to users and switch to local account if you haven't already, then change password as you do, and then go to change password again but keep the boxes empty and just click next, and then password log in should be disabled.

thanks for the replies, i tried usel's method after he replied and that worked, so i will just leave it that way.
