How can I do this

It has an ethernethis port. Basically need like a hub I caneed put my wifi info in and putilities that by the TV and plug a catch in to that no the tv

The solution is called "powerline adapters". If you cant run a cable they are the next best thing.

Two choices:

1. use a wireless bridge to turn your TV into a wireless capable device
2. Use cables with powerline adapters at each end.

I prefer option 1 and it’s what you described you wanted.

Controversial, throwing in the old wireless like a boss. I see what you did there! :D

My post looks awfully confrontational straight after yours but I promise I started composing it before yours was up there! :(

I was joking! :) I didn't think it was at all confrontational to be honest, we don't do that in here :D

If the TV doesn't have Wi-Fi then it's likely quite old and the smart apps will run poorly or won't be updated any more. For what a powerline adaptor is going to cost you could buy a Fire TV stick and ignore any built-in apps.

We have one of them roku things it's pretty good to be fair. The op should do this... This is the out of the box thinking this thread was looking for.

doh! Of course this is the best answer. Can’t believe I didn’t think of this, especially as I only recommended the same to my neighbour last week and he’s really, really happy. Not least because he can now watch Irish tv again because the app he used on his tv which stopped working is updated regularly and works on the fire stick.
