How can i fix this Buzz

Hey guys,

I have this issue with my system where i get major buzzing on both.

  • Using a Microphone (other people can hear the buzzing)
  • Recording game play as below

I cannot actually hear it myself though while gaming or using the pc,It only becomes apparent when im on the mic with people or in recordings.

Would getting a USB mic sort this issue you think?
Only alternative ive thought about is taking the sound card out of the system and using it externally via a Pci-e riser card but obviously wouldn't want this if i can avoid it.
 
When you listen to yourself on the mic can you hear the buzz?

It think its called a ground loop. I had this issue for ages and always assumed it was my hardware combination as I could never get to the bottom of it. Major system update later and the only remaining bits were case,PSU,soundcard.

Turns out it was the screws on my PSU that were causing it. 4 nylon washers later and silence! 2+years I had that problem.

Quick test you can do is unscrew the PSU and just push it off the edge of the case so it isn't touching.

Hi,not tried listening to myself on the mic,But when i use Teamspeak Or Discord other people say they can hear the buzzing.

I have a Little Dot 1+ headphone amp and i could hear the buzzing through that until i bought a Ground loop isolater then it stopped.
But this hasn't stopped the mic buzz people hear obviously,not me been able to hear it on recordings.

Going to have to try what you said about unscrewing the psu,Where did you put those Nylon washers?.

Underneath the screws that hold the PSU in. It just isolates it from the case
