How can I get accurate temperature readings?

Ive been looking into it a little and I wondered if there is a fairly conclusive way to get more exact readings for my intel i5?

The temps reported by in the BIOS are a bit higher than what real temp reports, so is there anything I can do to get a better reading?

Not unless you put as thermocouple on the core no

Not really, like mentioned above, you would need to use thermocouple mounted directly in or onto the cpu.
