I have just upgraded to Windows 11 and cannot get my Brother DCP-J315W printer/sccanner to work. The all in one drive software package from the Brother site does not install anything and when you run DPIsnt.exe nothing happens. I have managed to get the printer working by using Windows "add device" but not the scanner as it only installs the printer drivers.
I downloaded the Brother Print/Scan app for my Samsung tablet from the Playstore, and it immediately searched the local network for devices, found the printer/scanner and set it up with the options to print or scan. The scanner works perfectly from the tablet. Is there any way for Windows 11 to do the same, search the local network, find the device and install the correct drivers? The device is 100% wireless so I cannot connect it to the PC with a cable.
